1. Introduction

Welcome to Delmarva Disposal! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of our residential trash disposal services. By subscribing to our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Service Overview

Delmarva Disposal provides residential trash pickup services, including one 95-gallon trash can per subscription. Our service options include weekly, monthly, and yearly plans.

3. Fees and Charges

Service Plans: Our pricing varies by county:

  • Wicomico County: Weekly Pickup: $7 per week, Monthly Pickup: $25 per month, Yearly Pickup: $300 per year
  • Somerset County and Worcester County: Weekly Pickup: $8 per week, Monthly Pickup: $30 per month, Yearly Pickup: $360 per year
  • Other Areas: Prices for rural and other areas may differ and are subject to change. Please contact us for specific pricing details for these areas.

Recycling Service Fees: Recycling services are available at $5 per week. A 25% discount is offered to customers who subscribe to both trash and recycling services. The recycling service includes weekly pickup and a 50-gallon recycling bin.

Refundable Deposit: A $50 refundable deposit is required for the garbage bin provided. This deposit is refundable only if the bin is returned in good condition, free of damage and excess wear.

Add-Ons:

  • Additional Garbage Cans: Extra garbage cans are available for larger households at an additional cost. Please contact us for pricing details.
  • Closer Pickup Service: For customers who are disabled or unable to roll their cans to the curbside, we offer pickup closer to the house for an additional fee. Please contact us to arrange this service.

Additional Fees:

  • Damage to Garbage Bin: If the garbage bin is damaged or needs to be replaced, a fee will be assessed based on the extent of the damage or the cost of replacement.
  • Replacement of Garbage Bin: In the event of loss or irreparable damage, the cost of a replacement bin will be charged to the customer.

4. Deposit Refund Policy

Condition of Bin: The $50 deposit will be refunded if the garbage bin is returned in its original condition, undamaged and clean.

Refund Process: To request a refund of the deposit, the bin must be returned to Delmarva Disposal. Refunds will be processed within [specific timeframe, e.g., 30 days] after the bin is inspected.

5. Service Interruptions and Cancellations

Interruptions: Delmarva Disposal is not responsible for service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather or other emergencies. We will notify customers of any planned service disruptions and reschedule pickups as necessary.

Cancellations: Customers wishing to cancel their service must provide notice to Delmarva Disposal through our Contact page or via a support ticket. Refunds for prepaid service plans will be handled according to our cancellation policy.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Proper Use: Customers must use the garbage bin in accordance with the provided guidelines and not place prohibited items in it.

Bin Placement: The bin should be placed in an accessible location for regular pickup. If special arrangements are needed (e.g., pickup closer to the house), please contact us in advance.

7. Prohibited Items

Refer to our Waste Disposal Guidelines for a list of items that cannot be placed in the garbage bin due to safety and environmental regulations. Improper disposal of prohibited items may result in additional fees or service suspension.

8. Limitation of Liability

Delmarva Disposal is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to Terms

Delmarva Disposal reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Recycling Services

Delmarva Disposal provides weekly recycling pickup services for residential customers. Customers receive a 50-gallon recycling bin, and recyclables must be properly sorted and cleaned before being placed in the bin.

Prohibited Items: Refer to our Recycling Guidelines for a list of prohibited items. Improper sorting or disposal of prohibited items may result in additional fees.

11. Junk Removal Services

Delmarva Disposal offers junk removal services, including the pickup and disposal of large items, debris, and unwanted household items.

Fees: Pricing for junk removal varies based on the volume and type of items to be removed. Contact us for a quote and scheduling.

Prohibited Items: Certain hazardous or prohibited items cannot be removed as part of our junk removal services. Please consult our Junk Removal Guidelines for more details.
